TV Advertisement Evaluation
**
To collect and gather feedback, we used a survey website to make our own questionnaires to then hand out round the class for our classmates to fill out. However we did also spend time as a whole class watching each others adverts and making notes on what was done well and what could be improved. These are some of the responses we received in our questionnaires;

Ultimately I think our groups advertisement did manage to get the main message across to the target audience. We wanted to portray Pot Noodle as being a suitable option for a proper evening meal and not just a cheap cop-out when there's nothing else to eat, and I think our idea does this. You see a person in a kitchen panicking not knowing what to do, then as its revealed he's actually preparing for a date you understand why the Pot Noodle he sees gives him such relief.
As far as technical and aesthetic qualities are concerned, I think our strong points were the match on action shots we achieved. We had a sequence of very high paced, fast shots of the Pot Noodle being made, and with the added sound effects in editing I think it worked very well to show the speed and convenience of making a Pot Noodle. To improve I think we could of found a better location for the date, because we did only use W016 with a dark backdrop. It didn't look bad exactly however it would of looked a lot better and made more sense if it could of been shot in a dining room.
I think the advert did accurately summarize and portray the product in the way we wanted, however whilst guessing the target audience I could see how it may be perceived to targeted towards the current demographics typically related to Pot Noodle. I think this was because we used students on a date rather than a family meal (which we wanted to do). Our objective was to make the product seem like a suitable option for succulent dinner time meal and not just a cheap unhealthy snack, so the scenario we used does still capture that idea, however I can see how it might be perceived differently.
If we had used a dining room, a proper kitchen, and a family I think our message would of been communicated clearly without confusion, but due to the fact the kitchen seems like the back of a student flat and the people eating are young enough to be students it may be seen as to be targeted towards the current general consumers of Pot Noodle.
In conclusion though the advert does fit and fulfill its original purpose. We set out wanting to make something that showed Pot Noodle as being a fast, viable option when wanted to make a meal and I think out advert does in-fact do that. We hadn't intended to make it seem like a student appealing advert and did want it a lot more family friendly, however with the time and resources that we had, and the locations we had available to us, its just the way it ended up.

Personal Reflection
The final advertisement completely differed from the original plans, multiple times. The location was something we had a lot of problems with as well. Originally we had planned to shoot in the cafeteria however due to it clashing with parents evening it was cancelled last minute. So then we tried the college coffee shop however in the only available hours we had to film the staff said they would be too busy, so as last resort we ended up using a staff room kitchen for our end location. This sort of worked out to because we wanted it to look like a small student kitchen so it suited quite well.
We also had a strange disappearance of our storyboards half way through filming. We had to work around it obviously due to all the shots and details being recorded on the storyboards and we didnt have time to recreate another, but luckily thanks to the memory of the storyboards creator, Kai, we we're able to still create what we had originally planned.
In conclusion I am pleased with the final product, however given more time I would of definitely spent it looking for a better location. I think an actual apartment or flat would of explained to the viewer better what the situation was and setting the scene better would of just generally helped towards the re branding side of it.
